From the moment of conception, a Malian child learns that the world is a rhythm, a musical tapestry, a dance. Every life event is alive with music and every piece of music has its dance.
Please join NVMS as they host this musical theater presentation highlighting the music that accompanies a Malian person through their life journey of birth, childhood, marriage, naming ceremonies, adulthood, and even death.
Drissa Kone and Oumou Mariko look forward to sharing the ‘Koteba’ musical theater that was inspired by the people and music of Mali.
Also performing: Rusy Eklund and Juan Contreras.
This free music appreciation event and performance is made possible through donations made to the Great Fish Community Challenge. Thank you for your support!
